Oh, you wacky celebrities….with easy access to private “massage” sessions, “employees” on the payroll, and ummm, duh, the INTERNET, why oh why do you INSIST on hitting the dirty book stores to take things in hand?
Wednesday night, while I was busy toiling away at work, laying out newspaper pages, Fred Willard (Everybody Loves Raymond, Roseanne, and the wonderful Christopher Guest movies) was being laid out as well….across a police cruiser, apparently.
It seems Freddie was arrested for lewd conduct at the Tiki Theater in Hollywood for having his pants down and little Willard out and about. Thus far, I have not been able to find the title of the movie he was watching…but it must have been impressive to get a 72-year-old man going.
So, once again, cops in California are cruising the porno shops, lying in wait or even soliciting celebrities in an attempt to create some headlines. That is certainly no secret in Hollywood, so WHY do celebrities STILL take the risk when they have so many other options?
I think it must be the excitement of doing something you may get caught at. I, on the other hand, am FAR too neurotic. I am constantly looking over my shoulder even when I am NOT doing anything wrong, so the fun would be lost on me.
This little public pull is the perfect opportunity to slide right into Fred’s EXCELLENT work in the Christopher Guest movies. For anyone who has not seen This is Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind, they are some of the funniest movies ever made. The one-liner delivery and ad-libs truly show Willard’s comedic genius…and his fly stays closed.
The movie Fred was getting ready to work on was….I am NOT lying….The Yank.
Of such things a blogger’s wet dreams are made.
UPDATE: Just found out the movie he was watching would have been one of three: “Follow Me,” “The Client List” (XXX version, of course), and “Step Dad.”
Personally, Pee-Wee’s Playhouse episodes (especially season 2) really get me going.
Ya, what was it about season 2 that really upped the ante? Lawrence Fishburne, I believe, had the bulk of his appearances during season 2, maybe that’s it…
LOL i wonder what Fred has done when visiting that peepshow, did he pushed a one dollar bill a little bit to far? Who knows, i had a good laugh about it anyways 🙂
